Build a Positive Body Image

Are you worried about a friend or family member? Or maybe you think you may be dealing with a mental health challenge. Check this website out for warning signs and risk factors.

The Facts:

Mental Illness

There are a LOT of myths out there about mental illnesses, hopefully this clears the air and gets the facts out there.

Warning Signs

The Be Body Positive Model is centered around five core competencies: reclaiming health, practicing self-care, cultivating self-love, declaring your own authentic beauty and building community.

When you are worried a friend may be dealing with depression or another mental health challenge, it can be tricky to know how to voice your concerns. Click "Read More" to find a list of pointers.

Help Out a Friend

You can help reduce stigma by spreading the message to others that recovery from a mental illness does happen. Sharing a personal story has been found to be very effective in reducing stigma. If you have a success story, we would love to hear it.
